GDJMMA Events

1. Membership

Membership of the Society shall be open to Gold and Diamond manufacturers/ Wholesalers/ Retailers who are registered with GST Department also who has not registered with GST Department. Those who are registered with GST department shall produce registration certificate whereas non- registered members shall give a self-declaration. Membership shall be open to who are part of this industry and trade. Workers shall be admitted on the basis of declaration given by the employer. Every person will have to tender prescribed membership form with admission fees. Any dispute regarding granting of membership shall vest with Executive Committee.

2. Patrons

Executive Committees is empowered to nominate any number of eminent personalities from different walks of life as patrons of the society. They will have no voting rights. Their tenure will be decided by Executive Committee in the best interest of the society.

3. Members Register

a. Association shall maintain a register of members containing full details of members including photograph.

b. Those who have become the Member of the Society shall sign in the Members Register.

c. If any member of the Society is expelled, the same shall be noted in the Members Register.

d. Only members who name is entered in the Members Register shall be allowed to participate in any meeting and eligible to vote.

4. Admission Fee

Rs 1,000 (Rupees One Thousand Only) shall be the admission fee. This shall be revised by the executive committee from time to time.

5. Annual Subscription

The members shall be required to pay annual subscription fee of Rs 1,000 (Rupees One Thousand Only). This shall be revised from time to time by the Executive Committee.

8. Life Membership Fee

a. Rs 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only) shall be the Life Time Membership Fees.

b. Life Member need not pay admission fees and annual subscription.

c. Under no circumstances, life membership fees shall be refunded.

9. Period of Membership & Admission to Membership

a. Rs 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only) shall be the Life Time Membership Fees.

Vision

Gold and Diamond Jewellery Manufacturing Merchant Association (GDJMMA), a non profit organization, is visualized as a model association with the specific objective of bringing in best practices in the industry and act as a unifying force against threats from all corners. The Society aims to provide maximum relief to its members in case of emergency.

Preamble

Recognizing the vast changes that have taken place in the industry and trade, it is imperative that members of the Society are well informed about the current pricing mechanism, marketing trends and new laws like Hallmark Unique Identification Number (HUID), etc.

Mission

The mission of the Gold and Diamond Jewellery Manufacturing Merchant Association (GDJMMA) will be to bring total unity amongst the members with emphasis on total wellness of all family members.

Area of Operations

The area of operations of the Society shall be the whole State of Kerala.

Objectives of GDJMMA

The objectives for which the Society is established are:

1. To unite all persons associated with Gold and Diamond Trade.
2. To work for the welfare of family members of the Society.
3. To help in case of emergency for education, health and marriage.
4. To arrange for health, life, accident insurance for members and family.
5. To represent before the Government or Tax Authorities about the issues faced by the
industry.
6. To promote fair and best practices among the members.
7. To build healthy Employer- Employee relationship
8. To build good relationship with print and electronic media.
9. To do all good work for the unity of people and all-round development of State of Kerala and India.
10. To help members in fixing gold price.
11. To publish newsletters for the benefit of members.
12. To disseminate information about the new trends in the gold and diamond business
13. Society shall not discriminate any person on the basis of gender, caste, creed or
religion.
